General Conduct
- Students must wear neat, clean, and modest attire, in line with the college’s standards of dignity.
- Gaudy or inappropriate clothing such as skirts, leggings, jeans, frocks, or high tops is strictly prohibited.
- All students should uphold the reputation of the college through responsible behaviour inside and outside campus.
- Insubordination, rude behaviour, or any action that brings discredit to the institution will result in strict disciplinary action.
Classroom Etiquette
- Students must be punctual and regular in attending classes and college activities.
- Entry and exit from classrooms during lectures require the Principal’s permission.
- On a teacher’s arrival, students should stand and greet them, taking their seats only after being instructed.
- All teachers should be greeted respectfully, regardless of department.
- Maintain absolute silence in classrooms, laboratories, the library, and examination halls.
Campus Rules
- Only approved books, magazines, and materials are allowed inside the campus.
- Lost property must be handed over to the college office.
- Students are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and protecting college property.
- Defacing walls, damaging furniture, or littering will be considered a serious breach of discipline.
- Meetings, fundraising, or gatherings on campus require the Principal’s prior written approval.
- Personal visitors are not allowed during working hours, and receiving personal phone calls or letters in college is prohibited.
Examinations & Academics
- Monthly tests and model examinations are mandatory, and malpractice in any form will not be tolerated.
- Students are expected to approach assessments sincerely, as these form part of academic evaluation.
Prohibited Activities
- Eve-teasing is strictly banned and punishable under the Tamil Nadu Eve-Teasing Ordinance, 1998, with penalties up to imprisonment.
- Ragging in any form is prohibited inside or outside the campus and hostel; offenders will face dismissal.
- Use of mobile phones inside the college premises is strictly prohibited.
Professional Expectations
- Students must carry their Identity Card at all times within the campus.
- Behaviour towards peers should be respectful, friendly, and free from discrimination or harassment.
- Any misbehaviour or conduct unbecoming of a teacher trainee can lead to suspension or dismissal.
Attendance & Leave
- Students must attend all working days unless prior leave is sanctioned.
- Latecomers will be admitted only with valid reasons and Principal’s approval.
- Leave applications must be submitted in the prescribed format as per the college calendar.

Attendance & Leave Rules
Maintaining regular attendance is essential for successful completion of the B.Ed. programme and for developing the professional discipline expected of a teacher. The college follows a strict attendance policy in line with the regulations of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.
Attendance Requirements
- Students are expected to attend all working days in every semester without exception.
- As per university norms, a minimum attendance of 80% is mandatory in both theory and practical components to be eligible for semester examinations.
- Absenteeism affects not only academic performance but also eligibility for appearing in the final assessment and internship evaluation.
Punctuality
- Students must report to college on time.
- Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the campus unless a valid reason is provided and permission is granted by the Principal.
- Repeated late-coming will be treated as misconduct.
Leave Guidelines
- Leave of absence should be applied for in advance using the prescribed leave form available in the college calendar.
- Emergency leave must be notified to the class teacher and Principal as early as possible.
- Absence without prior permission will be treated as unauthorised and may invite disciplinary action.
Special Conditions
- Students who miss classes due to illness must produce a medical certificate along with their leave application.
- Participation in official college events, sports, seminars, or community programmes will be considered as on-duty attendance, provided prior approval is obtained.
Impact on Internship & Practicals
- Attendance shortfall during the internship period will affect internal marks, teaching practice evaluations, and final practical examination eligibility.
- Student-teachers must be present during all scheduled lesson deliveries, school visits, and observation classes.
