Courses Offered
Thirumalai Srinivasa College of Education offers a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme, designed to equip aspiring teachers with subject expertise, pedagogical skills, and professional ethics. The course is delivered in full-time mode over two academic years and follows a semester pattern (four semesters) as per the regulations of the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU), Chennai.
Pedagogy of Tamil
The Pedagogy of Tamil equips future teachers with skills to teach Tamil language and literature effectively. It covers grammar, phonetics, literature appreciation, and creative writing, along with modern teaching methodologies and ICT integration.
Pedagogy of English
This course trains student-teachers in effective English language teaching, focusing on grammar, phonetics, literature, comprehension, and communication skills. It introduces innovative teaching methods, use of audio-visual aids.
Pedagogy of History
Pedagogy of History develops skills to teach historical concepts, events, and timelines in an engaging manner. It emphasizes critical thinking, interpretation of historical sources, and connecting past events to present realities.
